Free Crypto Forensic Tools
Three free, no-signup tools to check crypto safety: validate any wallet address, trace a transaction hash, and screen an address against the OFAC sanctions list — read live from public sources, right in your browser.
These tools read public data for preliminary, informational purposes only. They are not investigative findings, a risk assessment, or legal/financial advice, and absence of a sanctions match is not a clearance. BlockTrace Forensics does not store anything you enter.
Want the full picture? These tools are a preliminary check. For multi-hop tracing, exchange attribution, and a court-admissible report, start an investigation.
Start Investigation →Three Free Crypto Tools
These free tools help you check crypto safety before and after a transaction — with no signup and nothing stored. Use the address validator to confirm an address is real, the transaction tracer to look up any transaction hash, and the sanctions screener to check an address against the OFAC sanctions list.
Crypto Address Validator
Paste any Bitcoin, Ethereum/EVM or TRON address and the validator verifies its format and checksum entirely in your browser, then tells you the network and address type. It catches typos and fake addresses before you send funds — a single wrong character can send crypto to a dead address forever. Need on-chain details too? Try the free wallet check.
Transaction Hash (TXID) Tracer
Enter a transaction hash and pick the chain (Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain or TRON) to pull the live details: status, value, sender and recipient, block, fee and confirmations — read directly from public explorers and RPC nodes. For multi-hop tracing across wallets and exchanges, see blockchain tracing.
OFAC Sanctions Screener
Screen any address against the U.S. OFAC SDN list of sanctioned crypto addresses (updated daily). A match means the address is sanctioned and you should not transact with it. This is a first-line compliance check — it covers the OFAC list only and is not a substitute for full screening or legal advice.
When to Use These Tools
- Before sending crypto to an unfamiliar address.
- To verify a payment or refund actually went through.
- To check whether a counterparty's wallet is sanctioned.
- To gather initial evidence after a suspected scam — then talk to an investigator.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these crypto tools free?
Yes — all three are free with no signup, and nothing you enter is stored.
Which networks are supported?
Bitcoin, Ethereum and EVM chains (including BNB Chain), and TRON. The tracer also covers USDT on these networks.
How does the sanctions check work?
It compares the address against the public OFAC SDN crypto-address list (a daily-updated mirror). It covers OFAC only and is not exhaustive.
Is my data stored?
No. The validator runs entirely in your browser; the tracer and screener query public sources directly. We don't store the addresses or hashes you enter.
An address is sanctioned or looks like a scam — what now?
Do not transact with it. If you've already lost funds, preserve evidence and contact our investigators for a forensic trace.
